CPM 3V
-Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM®) is a special process used in the production of high speed steels. This process allows grain structure within the steel to be finer and more uniformed than conventional steelmaking. The results are a steel with superior performance.
-CPM 3V is a steel that was originally designed to be used for stamps, punches and dies. Knife makers began using this steel due to its extremely high toughness and it has been an amazing knife steel. This steel will take a beating and hold its edge.
52100 High Carbon
-52100 is a high carbon steel that was originally used in ball bearings. It has good wear resistance and toughness. The steel is very rust prone and comes coated but should never be left wet. 52100 makes an excellent field knife and is one of the easier steels to sharpen.
